About Kurt
Kurt has worn many hats throughout his career, which is why he is so well-qualified to manage The Brothers that just do Gutters of Grand Rapids. As a Michigan native, he graduated from Grand Valley State, where he met his beautiful wife, Sandy. After completing his master’s degree in Wyoming, he began his career by working for the City of Chicago, where he managed a program that identified abandoned and foreclosed properties for development into parks and trails. Next, Kurt went on to work as a mortgage company branch manager in Colorado, where he had the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with local home and business owners.
However, Kurt missed his Great Lakes community. He moved with his family back to Michigan, where he continued to work as a wholesale account executive while building a side-hustle roasting coffee bean that soon turned into a bustling business. However, Kurt is always ready for his next challenge, and after installing his own gutters, he was inspired to join The Brothers that just do Gutters. Kurt saw firsthand the impact new gutters can have on a home and a community, especially in Michigan, where it snows and rains throughout the winter season.

How It All Began
In 1999 Ken Parsons started his own gutter contractor company called Waterfall Seamless Gutters after leaving the teaching industry. In 2002, his brother Ryan joined him after the graphic design company he was working for went bankrupt. The company changed its name to Water-flow Gutter Solutions briefly in 2006 before finally becoming “The Brothers that just do Gutters” in 2009. The name came from a radio ad that was well-liked by listeners, so Ken and Ryan decided to adopt it. They also changed their titles to Solutionists© to better represent what they do for their clients, with Ken becoming Senior Solutionist© and Ryan becoming Chief Solutionist©.
The company’s success in the gutter contractor business for over 15 years is due to their focus on the customer. They specialize in seamless rain gutters and leaf guards and offer a variety of installations, cleaning, and repairs. By focusing solely on gutter systems and guards, they have been able to provide reliable services and high-quality products.
