*Snow Removal:This service covers only the first 3-5 feet of the pitched roof area of a home, closest to the gutter system or where a gutter system should be. This does not include ice removal or melting. Additional snow removal costs an additional $75.00 per hour, per man.

** Ice Melt Service: An ice-melting product will be applied to the ice dammed areas. This product is not intended to melt 100% of the ice; it is meant to accelerate the melting process. The ice melt service does not include the removal of ice formed to the side of the house, down windows, etc. The ice melt service cannot be done without snow removal. The ice melt service can only be added in addition to the snow removal service. Regular service includes one 50lb bag of ice melt. Additional bags of ice melt will be charged at $50.00 per bag.

***After Two Hours:Most clients’ rooflines can be cleared in less than two hours. Other houses of larger size or multiple rooflines require more time. After two hours clients will be billed $75.00 per additional hour, per man.

Ice Melt & Snow Removal

Winter can wreak havoc on your home. We all drive around and see icicles hanging off gutters and rooflines. Many people are experiencing major problems with water and ice backing under their shingles and getting into their interior walls. Others are not experiencing any damaging effects, which may not show up until the snow, and ice begins to thaw.

The Problem:
Ice damming and icicles are caused by heat loss in your home. When the hot air in your home rises, it escapes into your attic, which is typically cold. If your attic floor is not tightly insulated the heat will escape through. This causes the peak to begin to melt first, causing the melted snow and water to accumulate by the roofs edge. Snowfall accumulation without a decent thaw between snowstorms is another contributing factor of ice damming.

The Short Term Solution:
Removing the snow and ice from at least the first 3 feet of your roofline and gutters. Accelerate the melting process of the ice in/on and between your gutters and roof.

The Long Term Solution:
Having vented soffits and a ridge vent on your roof, heated cables on your roofline and in your gutters, as well as proper attic insulation.
