I am very pleased and proud to nominate Ken and Ryan Parsons for your 40 under 40 “Shaker Award”! I am nominating them in unison because when I think of one… I always think of the other. They are co-owners of Water-flow Gutter Solutions in Lagrange and together they are… The Brothers that just do Gutters! (their catch phrase!)
I have owned a professional remodeling company in the Hudson Valley for 23 years and have seen many different types of companies in my industry come and go. I had the distinct pleasure to come across Ryan and Kens Company over a year ago and was instantly impressed by their spirit, energy and ambitious vision of their company. Their products include commercial and residential gutters, however, their process is … 6 easy steps to a happy home! They are not regular gutter installers just like they are not a regular company. A web site visit is extremely impressive, their friendly staff wants you to enjoy the gutter experience and through the 6 vital steps to a happy home they will lead you beyond your expectations! Their attention to detail at all levels of their business is quite extraordinary.
Their clear vision for the future is to expand to different markets and to one day franchise their product… offering a clear path for a franchisee to reap the benefits of their intense quest for a model company that provides great service while earning a reasonable profit. To obtain such lofty goals (or two!) would have to have a constant thirst for a better way to achieve success. This is what I see in Ryan and Ken. They are truly inspiring to be around and effortlessly get others to think of their own businesses and what they can do to improve! Through my association with several networking venues I have witnessed first hand the positive influence that they have on other business owners… both young and old! Their willingness to share what they have learned is genuine and their humbleness to know there is more to learn is admirable. They are true leaders!
Professionally I am in awe of the collective experience, knowledge and respect that they have obtained in such a short business career, yet, personally I am equally impressed by the individuals that they are. They are 2 college-educated brothers who care deeply about each other, their families and their community. Balancing their personal and professional lives while being leaders in both is an amazing tribute to their generosity and care. They truly see the bigger picture!
