The inspiration for this referral campaign came from the desire to return the favor to all of our customers who referred us to friends and family. Along the same lines, we also wanted to encourage the potential customer following the referral, to fully complete the referral. Even with all our charm and persuasion, it can still be challenging to get a referral to completely buy into the advice. When we talk with homeowners about why they chose us over other contractors, we usually hear what we refer to as “onliness” statements, and they mean so much to us. What does “onliness” mean? It’s really quite simple. Statements such as, “You were the only ones to show up for the estimate, and on time,” or “You were the only ones who called on their way to the job,” or “You were the only ones who cleaned up after they were done,” or “You were the only ones who used digital technology from the beginning to the end of the job.” Using “onliness” statements when speaking to your friends and neighbors about our services and the overall experience we provide, can help them understand just how different we are from the competition, and why we stand out.
