The Birds Are Back In Town
The birds are back. I’ve heard them singing in the morning, and today I saw a group of Robins out my back window snacking on some worms. So in spite of the huge piles of snow still sitting in my front yard I know spring is just around the corner for us.
The Hudson Valley was hit particularly hard this winter with huge storms and extremely cold temperatures. Many homeowners are facing the monumental task of getting their homes and yards back in shape. Now that you can finally walk through your yard without snow shoes or skis you’ll want to assess any winter gutter damage caused by the weight of snow and ice.
Winter Gutter Damage
We have been receiving many calls from Dutchess, Westchester, Orange and Putnam counties with reports of winter gutter damage. Some gutters have come down completely taking fascia and soffits with them. Other homeowners have reported downspouts that have burst open because they were so full of ice. The best way to make sure you are ready for April Showers is to have your gutters repaired or replaced now. Maintaining your gutter system with timely repairs and gutter cleaning is much more cost effective than paying the price to clean up water damage inside your home later on.
Bring on Spring, we’ll be ready!
