At The Brothers that just do Gutters, we are continually researching new products to make sure that we are always offering the best materials available on the market to our clients. Recently, when doing this research, we found a new-to-market gutter guard unlike any we’ve seen before. By combining some of the best qualities from guards already on the market with research on the biggest complaints and flaws of a number of industry leading guards, our current guard manufacturer was able to create a unique and extremely effective design and solution.
As a gutter company who works to provide a five star experience, The Brothers That Just Do Gutters also strives to supply their clients with the very best products available. One such product is Rhino Gutter Guard. It offers a plethora of benefits such as:
- Leaf Protection
- Added Strength
- Completely Enclosed
- And Much More
We’ve been installing Rhino Guard for the past five years and we’ve seen it perform well in all seasons (Check out our other blogs on Guards in the Winter). When it comes to gutter guards, we’ve found that the mesh systems perform better for us and our clients. Rhino Guard’s mesh is surgical-grade stainless steel that is hemmed into the frame, not glued, so it won’t come loose. Directly underneath the mesh is the substrate, which adds strength and pulls the water through the .44 micron holes. This ensures that the water will always flow directly into the gutter, keeping leaves and other debris as small as pine needles and shingle grit from entering. The Rhino Guard’s system is completely enclosed, so it doesn’t just keep debris out; its interlocking panels and downspout caps keep animals and critters from entering your gutter system. At first, we thought that was a bit much, but after our crews told us that they have found snakes, squirrels, birds and more inside the gutters of client’s homes that could only have come up the downspout, we quickly changed our tune.
There’s more to the Rhino Guard than the steel mesh. Some homes have roof valleys where there is increased water volume causing water to flow directly over the gutter, to combat this Rhino Guard developed Rhino Miters. They increase the surface area of the gutter in the valley to catch the excess rainwater. Rhino Guard’s frame is also embossed to help debris slide off the surface and not cling to guard and block water flow. The frame is screwed not only to the front lip of the gutter, but also directly into the fascia to provide box-like strength to help support of the extra weight of snow and debris. Rhino Guard is completely and proudly manufactured in the United States.
So now you’ve heard the features of Rhino Guard, and they’re all well and good, but why do we install it? Plenty of guards can keep leaves out of your gutters but what makes Rhino Guard different? I talked to one of our Solutionists, Dana Listemann, about why he’s comfortable solving our clients’ problems with Rhino Guard. “As far as leaf protection products go, Rhino Guard excels in performance, material, function, and keeping all debris out.” Dana said. He continued, “Not only that, it has a history of providing extra strength to the gutter. I’ve never personally heard of anyone having any problems with performance.” I asked Dana what questions homeowners most commonly ask him at estimates and he told me, “The first is ‘Does it keep debris out?’ and the answer to that is yes. It’s scientifically designed to allow only water and pollen to enter because if pollen can’t enter it will form an algae that will hinder water from entering the gutter. The second question is ‘What happens if debris gets in?’ and I tell them that we’re so confident that won’t happen, that it’s backed by a 20 year money back guarantee.” Finally he added, “As a homeowner myself, I would feel confident with Rhino Guard on my home.”
