Q&A with Customer Beth Lamonica

The Brothers that just do Gutters installed a new 6″ white seamless gutter system to Beth Lamonica’s home. After dealing with flooding issues in her basement, as well as overflow from her actual gutters, she and her husband decided the gutters needed to be replaced. We asked her a few questions about her experience and level of satisfaction with The Brothers that just do Gutters, as well as, the consultation/estimate process.

Q: What was important to you when looking for a company to install your gutters?
A: We bought this house about a year ago and we were having flooding in the basement. We realized that the gutters were probably the reason for that, so we had a couple people come out and give us quotes. The Brothers that just do Gutters provided a better solution in terms of what I thought needed to be done to prevent these problems. Other companies who came out wanted to simply replace old gutters with the same configurations, but I was thinking that wasn’t right. Dana was helpful in saying what would prevent these problems, and he let us know about the 6″ gutters.

Q: Did you have any anxieties or concerns when shopping around for a gutter company?
A: The gutters that we had on previously were not leveled correctly, so the water was pouring over the sides of them. It was comforting to hear them assess that this was a problem, which the Brothers that just do Gutters helped me to better understand later.

Q: What was the process of receiving multiple estimates and going through different consultations like?
A: We received a couple different estimates. One was from an independent contractor who again was looking to just replace what we already had, which I didn’t think would solve the problem. The Brothers that just do Gutters really provided a better solution to what we needed.

Q: What was the worst part about the searching/consultation part of the project?
A: I was mostly worried about the cost. The Brothers that just do Gutters were reasonable, and worked with us. I was very upfront with Dana and he let us know what we could do, he was very helpful. Providing the 6” gutters instead of the 5”, which is what we already had, also allowed us to have fewer downspouts.

Q: Describe the process a little bit starting with the first phone call, to the consultation, to the final job.
A: We contacted The Brothers that just do Gutters through Angie’s List. We sent them an email and received an answer pretty quickly. Once Dana was here, he stayed for about a half hour and assessed the situation. He was able to provide a general idea of what the quote would be immediately, which he later firmed up through email. Once I said ‘lets go with it,’ it was scheduled within a week or two. It was funny, we actually came home from work the day of the job and my husband was saying ‘they didn’t even come or do anything’ I said ‘yes they are brand new gutters, there is just no trash or debris left over’ which was awesome.

Q: Tell us a little about your level of satisfaction with the completed job.
A: 100% satisfied

Q: What was one thing that stood out the most to you about The Brothers that just do Gutters?
A: Dana’s customer service was excellent. He was very friendly, personable, quick to respond, and the communication channel was always open. It was very easy.

Q: What was the final aspect that made you decide to go with The Brothers that just do Gutters?
A: I chose The Brothers that just do Gutters because of their proposed solution. I thought what they proposed to do made a lot of sense with the issues that we were having previously with the water and drainage around the house. I really liked their level of professionalism. One of the other quotes I had received was a bit informal. The Brothers that just do Gutters felt like an established company who’s done this before. Even just having the brothers logo on the letterhead that provided the quote reassured me that there was a bigger company behind it all and this instilled confidence.
